ActiveTrack 2.0. As its name indicates, this mode makes an active and autonomous follow-up of a subject in movement. In addition, thanks to the greater processing power, it is able to predict trajectories so as not to lose sight of the subject even in complex situations. And if that were not enough, it also avoids obstacles thanks to the aforementioned systems.
Tripod. Drastically reduces the speed of the drone and the sensitivity of the levers. In this way you can obtain very precise -and close- planes of an object.
QuickShots To facilitate the creation of attractive clips, the drones of DJI include several predefined flight modes that generate surprising results with great simplicity. These include Dolly Zoom, which plays with focus and zoom to generate a strong distortion effect. Modes like Asteroid and Boomerang are also included.
The camera is one of the strengths of the new Mavic 2 Zoom. Its sensor remains intact with respect to the previous model (1 / 2.3 inches), but the lens that comes with it releases a variable focal mechanism (between 24 and 48 millimeters) that allows zooming up to two magnifications without sacrificing image quality .
For many it may seem like a minor advance, but in practice, the optical zoom system delivers great creative power to the pilots of the new model. Three examples:
-Some animals can flee when they feel the presence of a drone. With optical zoom, the pilot can increase the distance between the aircraft and the animal, but pick up the same plane.
-As in DSLR cameras, the optical zoom allows playing with the parallax effect to achieve a much more striking and cinematic aesthetic.
-With Superresolution mode, the Mavic 2 Zoom takes advantage of its optical zoom to take images of 48 megapixels of resolution. The methodology is simple, and the results extremely attractive.
The autonomy of the equipment, as the manufacturer advances, oscillates 31 minutes with a standard use. If advanced flight modes are used or weather conditions are adverse, the figure may decline significantly.
The remote control hardly presents differences with respect to previous models. The sticks are stored inside, offers several buttons in the rear region to control the camera, and on the side you can find a comfortable slider that allows you to switch between tripod mode, sport mode and standard flight mode.
The footage of the Mavic 2 can be stored on a microSD card or in the internal memory of the drone (8 GB). Its predecessor only allowed to do it in a microSD card.
Thanks to the OcuSync 2.0 system, the Mavic 2 is capable of transmitting Full HD video 8 kilometers away. If the environment presents interference or obstacles that block the signal, both the quality of the streaming and the maximum distance of flight may be affected.
With active sport mode you can reach a maximum speed of 72 km / h.
