VESDA suction pipes and connections are produced in red ABS under a rigorous quality control system, BS EN ISO 9001, EN54 - 20 and EN61386-1 Class 1131 ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is a solid polymer, which it has the most suitable physical properties for aspiration detection, performance optimization with tensile strength, chemical resistance, ductility, weather resistance, thermal stability and processability.

Strength and durability

The butadiene constituent of ABS improves impact resistance and toughness at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C and gives exceptional resistance to accidental damage.

Chemical resistance

The acrylonitrile in ABS makes it unaffected by corrosive attack from a wide range of acids, alkalis and other aggressive chemicals.

The styrene in ABS makes it an easy material to use with ABS solvent. Simple modifications to existing pipelines are also possible with a minimum of specialist training.

Light

Unlike some metal pipes, VESDA ABS pipe is very light in weight. This makes it easy to handle at high and difficult locations where systems are often installed.

Colour

VESDA standard pipe and fittings are supplied in fire red to identify your service as fire. Special requests for white can be accommodated for aesthetic reasons.
